The largest town in Carroll County, Westminster features the Cranberry Mall, with a number of popular retailers. Other popular destinations include the Dutch Market and numerous restaurants and antique shops. Carroll Community College and McDaniel College are also close by and offer a wealth of community activities. Within the town of Woodbine, outdoor enthusiasts will enjoy the Ramblin' Pines Campground for its swimming pools, picnic pavilions, playground, and team sports and recreational activities. Schools in Woodbine are part of the Howard County School System, which are consistently the top rated schools in Maryland. The school system includes numerous Maryland State Blue Ribbon Award winners and has the highest approval rating among parents in the state. Although the median home price of $665,000 makes Woodbine a relatively upscale market, homes with abundant square footage and land provide an excellent value for your dollar.

Spanning both Carroll and Howard Counties, Woodbine's scenic rolling hills, thick clusters of shade bearing trees, and green open pastures make it a scenic part of traditional Maryland farm country. Located near the larger Carroll County town of Westminster, Woodbine is bordered on one side by the Patapsco River. This beautiful, bucolic, retreat-like environment was for many years settled by a few farming families, but since the 1980's has experienced a steady growth in population.
