Dundalk, a large industrial community in South Eastern Baltimore County, was initially developed in 1919 by the Bethlehem Steel Company as a place to house factory employees who worked in nearby Sparrows Point. The neighborhood still boasts many of its original 1920's style wood and stucco cottages, which are nestled in to largely residential areas. Just as the developers designed, the commercial and residential districts of Dundalk are largely separated, but are within easy walking or driving distance of one another.
